James grew up in Owatonna, graduating from OHS in 2003.  Following high school, James went on to get a 4 year degree in Construction Management while playing hockey at Minnesota State University, Mankato.  His passion for construction began at a young age, working as a carpenter in the summers until finishing college.

When he is not at work, James enjoys the outdoors, playing sports and spending time with family and friends.  James and his wife Megan have (3) kids, Reed, Logan and Olivia.
